Positive Review Received by Book on Structural Strategy for Global Warming and the Environment.
David McCorquodale, co-chair of Green Pages (the US Green Party printed quarterly), just released a positive review for Mark C. Henderson's book on large-scale strategies for the environment. It is currently posted at Review + Henderson's Comments, on Green Pages' website (The 21st Century Environmental Revolution: A Book Review by David McCorquodale--January 2009), and appeared in Green Pages' June/July 2009 issue (http://www.gp.org/greenpages).
From the review: "The book has convinced me that the ETS [the strategy proposed in the book] could be an immensely important tool for the environment, but the obstacles are sizable, especially in the United States..."
Mark C. Henderson argues that structural approaches are our best hope of winning the battle for a green future. His book makes the case that simple economic policy changes could result in huge gains for the environment. Working from political and economic principles, he develops a large-scale strategy which could address most environmental problems at very little expense.
